Having worked in the Home Health field for 20 years and personally experienced my mother’s time spent in a “facility” for 3 years, I’ve seen numerous assisted living situaitons. Evening’s Porch stands out for several reasons: 1. It is beautifully designed with the residents’ comfort and dignity in mind. Private bathrooms v. shared bathrooms was one of the first things I noticed. 2. I was immediately aware of a homelike feel v. an “institutional” on my first visit to see a patient there. 3. Most important was the amazing staff that totally reflect the Evening’s Porch philosophy: “Where independence and quality of life are nurtured and respected.” Evening’s Porch is the closest atmosphere to being in your own home I have ever encountered.

I had the pleasure of visiting my aunt at Evening’s Porch. The facility is top notch, immaculate, and the staff is amazing. My guest room was beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed having meals with the residents. I would highly recommend Evening’s Porch. It felt like a family atmosphere, the staff was attentive, caring, and again, made you feel at home. My auant has received tremendous care and has made great friends at Evening’s Porch. And to top if off, the chocolate cake for dessert was great!

Congratulations on the recent award of “Small Business of the Year” by the Durango Chamber of Commerce for an outstanding business in Bayfield. You and your staff have done a fabulous job creating an environmentfor seniors that goes above and beyond what other similar facilities have done.
